Stepping Stones was founded in 1999 as a family group home for young parents and their children as an avenue to strengthen and maintain the family unit.  The initial 1,080 square foot apartment for mothers and their children at risk of removal has grown into the 32-bed program existing today.  Stepping Stones has grown as a program to be recognized at the state and national level.  Stepping Stones currently operates as a State of Maine licensed children’s residential treatment facility that focuses on reunifying and solidifying unstable family relationships for at risk youth who may or may not be in the custody of their parents.

The program is an eight-bed residential treatment programs serving children ages 0-5 and mother or families respectively.  The right individuals will provide support to the youth and their families as well as provide oversight of the respective location. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in the life of a child at risk and their families.  Educational and experience requirements: High School Diploma and Clean Driving Record.

These programs are eight-bed residential treatment programs serving children ages 0-5 and mother or families respectively.  The right individuals will provide case management support to the youth and their families as well as provide documentation to department case workers.  It is also expected that these people will be an integral member of the team.  This is an opportunity to make a positive impact in the life of a child at risk and their families.  Educational and experience requirements: BA Degree (LSW or LSW-c).
