Licensed Residential Facility

Who served:

  • Homeless or at-risk pregnant and parenting young women ages 15 to 25 and thier children.

Eligibility requirements for program:

  • Agree to follow the program guidelines and show progress on attainment of goals set in the Individual Service Plan (ISP)
  • ISPs include youth working and/or going to school, volunteerism to atain transferrable skills
  • Must be eligible for Maine Care

Length of stay: Maximum of 18 months.

How youth enter program:

  • Referrals may be made through self-referral, parents or guardian, court referrals, and/or DHS or other service providers

Services offered in the first 30 days:

  • Shelter in residential facility
  • Meeting with casworker (LSW) and clinical consulstant (LCSW) to create an Individualized Service Plan that will assist youth in reaching self-sufficiency.
  • 24-hour supervision from huggyskilled staff trained in Positive Youth Development
  • Youth attend Life Skills and Parenting classes
  • Linkage to services
